Who We Are

RHISEARCH is a visual search engine operated by Rhizomatic Labs ("we", "us", "our"). The service allows users to search for publicly available social media video content from YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram using AI-powered visual analysis. We index metadata and AI-generated descriptions of publicly accessible videos — we do not host, store, or redistribute any video files.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RHISEARCH, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service immediately. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Description of Service

RHISEARCH provides:

• A semantic search interface to discover publicly available video content
• AI-generated visual analysis and scene descriptions derived from public videos
• Links that redirect users to original content on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
• Subscription-based access tiers with varying query credits

User Accounts

To access paid features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.

Subscription Plans

Credits are consumed per search query. Unused credits from one-time plans do not expire. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Limitation of Liability

RHISEARCH is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for the accuracy, legality, or availability of third-party content linked from our index. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive use of the service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls. In case of termination due to policy violation, no refund will be issued.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, except where EU consumer law provides otherwise.

Data We Collect

Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6:

• Contract performance — to provide the service you subscribed to
• Legitimate interest — rate limiting, fraud prevention, security
• Legal obligation — tax records, compliance
• Consent — optional analytics (where applicable)

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Paddle — payment processing (their privacy policy applies to billing data)
• Hetzner — infrastructure hosting (EU-based servers, GDPR compliant)
• Law enforcement — only when legally required

Your Rights (GDPR)

As an EU resident, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Submit requests to legal@rhisearch.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics, if any, are privacy-preserving and do not track individual users across sites.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Access to production databases is restricted to authorized personnel only. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

How We Index Content

RHISEARCH is an index and discovery service, not a content host. Our service works as follows:

• We crawl publicly accessible videos on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
• Our AI analyzes individual frames to generate scene descriptions and detect visual elements
• We store metadata and AI-generated descriptions only — no video files are downloaded or stored
• Thumbnail images are displayed using publicly accessible URLs served by the original platforms
• All search results link directly to the original content on the source platform

DMCA Notice Requirements

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, your request must include:

1. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
3. The specific RHISEARCH URL(s) where the allegedly infringing content appears in our index
4. The original platform URL (YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram) of the video in question
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
7. Your electronic or physical signature

Counter-Notices

If you believe content was removed from our index in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@rhisearch.com. We will review counter-notices and restore access if appropriate.

Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances.

Who Can Request Removal

The following parties may request removal of content from the RHISEARCH index:

• Content creators — if you are the creator of an indexed video and wish to have it removed from our search results
• Copyright holders — if you hold rights to the content and have not authorized its indexing
• Legal representatives — acting on behalf of the above with documented authority

Note: requesting removal from RHISEARCH removes the content from our index only. To remove the video from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, you must contact those platforms directly.

Waiver of Right of Withdrawal

Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital services that have been fully or partially performed where the consumer has given prior express consent and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.

One-Time Credit Plans (Pro)

• If you have not yet used any credits and request a refund within 14 days of purchase, a full refund will be issued
• If any credits have been consumed, the right of withdrawal is waived and no refund is due
• No refunds are issued after 14 days from the date of purchase under any circumstances

Monthly Subscriptions (Unlimited)

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial or pro-rata refunds are issued for unused days within a billing cycle.

How to Request a Refund

For eligible refund requests (unused one-time plans within 14 days), email legal@rhisearch.com with your order ID and the email address used at checkout. Refunds are processed via Paddle and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

Exceptions

Refunds will not be issued in cases of account termination due to violation of these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use Policy.

Permitted Use

RHISEARCH may be used for:

• Searching and discovering publicly available social media video content
• Research, content discovery, and competitive analysis
• Personal and commercial use within the limits of your subscription plan

Prohibited Use

You may not use RHISEARCH to:

• Attempt to scrape, copy, or extract our search index or AI-generated content at scale
• Circumvent rate limits through multiple accounts, proxies, or automated bots
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Harass, stalk, or target individuals using content discovered through our service
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without written authorization
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our platform
• Use automated scripts to query the service without prior written approval

Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund. We reserve the right to take legal action in cases of significant harm or deliberate misuse.
